Community

Schools could encourage pupils and their families to play a part in their local community by fostering links with individuals and local groups. Schools are often involved in environmental and community projects which provide and improve the environment for the use of the school and the community, and provide a powerful example to follow a more sustainable lifestyle.

Extended schools provide a range of services and activities, before and after school, to help meet the needs of children, their families and the wider community.
