Global dimension

planet earthThe sustainable development agenda provides interesting and relevant learning opportunities for pupils, preparing them for the responsibilities of life as members of a global community.

Consumer decisions and their impact on other members of society can help students develop an understanding of their role in making a positive contribution.

We are facing major challenges; climate change, depletion of natural resources including fossil fuels and pressures on biodiversity. An understanding of these and related issues, through practical examples at school, using buildings and grounds and linking these with the curriculum will ensure that the next generation is equipped to lead more sustainable lives at work and at home.
