You could start putting your own school in order by reducing your environmental impact, and using this as a practical example for learning – see Action!

There are opportunities for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in all subjects, and curriculum requirements at NC, GCSE, GCE or VCE in Geography, Science, Design & technology, Business studies, Religious education, Leisure, travel and transport and Citizenship.

Hampshire Inspection and Advisory Service provides sustainable development support for the curriculum in the following subjects:

The Trailblazer outdoor and environmental award scheme offers support and resources to help schools make the most of their outdoor environments for curricular learning and personal development.
