The structure of tourism in the South East
Tourism is a complex industry with a large number of stakeholders, from Visit Britain to local businesses. This document helps to explain how the South East is structured and the relationship between local authorities and tourism.
Tourism Officer contact details
The Tourism Section at Hampshire County Council plays a strategic role in supporting tourism in Hampshire. Local tourism matters are dealt by tourism officers at district, borough and unitary authority level.
Quality assured accommodation
Visit Britain are responsible for the National Quality Assurance Scheme which is delivered by GSL Limited, operating under the name of Quality in Tourism.
