National Consumer Week

National Consumer Week is an annual event organised by the Trading Standards Institute to raise awareness of consumer rights. The dates this year are 17th-21st November 2008 and the theme is 'Be a Savvy Shopper this Christmas’. Hampshire are looking at the following topics:

  • Do you understand what your credit is costing?

  • What does Digital TV mean for you?

  • When is a bargain not a bargain?

  • How to choose a safe toy

  • How many calories in Christmas lunch and mince pies?

Hampshire County Council Trading Standards Service will be having stands in shopping centres and large stores. If you have any queries regarding National Consumer Week, or your rights as a consumer, Trading Standards staff are out and about in Hampshire on the following days:
