Promoting Recycled Goods

To reduce the burden on landfill sites, the following initiatives have been undertaken by Hampshire Trading Standards Service:

Household Waste Recycling Centres

We work in partnership with Hampshire Waste Management to promote the sale of recycled goods, including electrical products, at Household Waste Recycling Centres.  We carry out inspections at these sites to ensure that only safe goods are sold to the public.

Counterfeit Products

Following successful legal action in respect of counterfeit clothing, offending trade marks are removed from seized stock. Clothing is then donated to charitable organisations for distribution to the needy, including in third world countries.
