Concessionary fares consultation
You may be aware Government has decided that responsibility for the English National Concessionary Travel Scheme for older people and people with disabilities should move from District Councils to County Councils from the 1 April 2011.
Between July and 8 October 2010, Hampshire County Council ran a three month public consultation, asking residents their views on the future of the concessionary fares scheme, in particular about potential implications and priorities.
Following the consultation we have analysed the responses and these are outlined on the following Concessionary Fares Consultation Summary document. The decision on 19 November 2010, following the Executive Member Decision Day is summarised on the following link.
