School travel - our strategy to promote sustainable modes of travel to school

Under the Education & Inspections Act 2006 Hampshire County Council is required to prepare a Sustainable School Travel Strategy which will:

• assess the travel and transport needs of all pupils in the county
• promote sustainable travel to school
• extend the entitlement to free home to school transport to low income families.

The strategy also sets out how we will achieve the objectives required by the Act, and by when.
