Box 42 Queen Victoria

This box contains a costume for Queen Victoria, based on the mourning clothing she wore after Prince Albert’s death. Pupils can explore and understand the life of Queen Victoria, how important she was in British history and the changes that took place during her reign. This box is useful as support for a more an in-depth study of Victorian times and the impact of significant individuals and events in the past.

Ideal for use with Key Stage 2, years 5 and 6

• History: To enable pupils to explore key themes linked to Victorian Britain through handling costume and real and replica artefacts and by taking part in group activities.
