Section 5: Disclaimer forms at HWRCs
Common questions in this section:
A Disclaimer Form asks users to verify that the waste they are bringing on site comes from their own home, and is not trade waste. If users refuse to provide their details, they will not be allowed to deposit the material they are carrying.
Why have I been asked to fill in a Disclaimer Form?
Due to the nature of the waste and/or the vehicle being used, site staff may have reason to believe that the waste may have come from a trade source or activity. A household permit allows access to HWRCs, but does not allow users to deposit non-household waste. Disclaimer Forms are one method of identifying traders attempting to enter the sites in domestic vehicles, i.e. cars.
