Our last Wessex Gala Weekend attracted over 5000 visitors with a further 5000 children attending events in schools and public libraries through the week. This year is the National Year of Reading so we hope that even more of you will come along to Winchester Guildhall and join in the fun.

For the National Year of Reading we have extended the Wessex Festival to include a programme of authors for adults. There's something for eveyone in a fabulous fortnight of author visits: poetry, creative writing masterclass, crime writers, local history, literary bluffing plus an event for reading groups. In a Hampshire Library near you.

Our bookshop, supplied by P&G Wells of Winchester.
