Search Your Film Archives brings together information about film from Wessex Film and Sound Archive, BFI National Archive, English regional film archives and partners across the UK and is funded by the DCMS.
Film archives are repositories for the custody and preservation of, and access to, the history of our times as recorded on film, videotape and other moving image formats. Such archives contain works made by amateur and professional producers for cinema, television and other purposes.
This search consists solely of data records, however, where a film is available to view online we have supplied a link.
Due to its fragility, rights restrictions, and high cost of preservation and digitisation, the majority of this material is not available to view. However, if you are interested in a particular film please contact the source archive and they will advise on whether a viewing copy is available.
