Educational sources

A number of schools, colleges and universities in the region have deposited film and sound material, notably Trosnant School, Havant, Woolston Boys School, Southampton, Fordingbridge Primary School, Merry Oak School, Bitterne, Southampton, and Charminster/Summerbee School, Bournemouth.

Hampshire County Council Education Department contributed films of its educational cruises for schoolchildren in the 1960s and 1970s.

Treloar College Trust of Froyle, near Alton loaned films for copying, showing its work for disabled pupils. King Alfred's College, Winchester has produced a number of items of local interest, including films on schools, and the Wessex TV Consortium continued this work on video.

The College of Maritime Studies at Warsash provide a nautical flavour from 1939 onwards, including the war period. WFSA also holds more recent material from the Universities of Southampton and Portsmouth, showing local activities.
