Strike impact 17 July
The impact of the UNISON, and UNITE the Union strike on Hampshire County Council’s services is minimal, and frontline essential services continue to be provided. There are exemptions in place protecting services provided to the young, old and vulnerable in our care.
Hampshire County Council has approximately 5,000 Unison members and around 300 UNITE members which equates to around 20% of the total workforce. In total we have around 425 staff (excluding Schools) striking.

- Henry Tyndale Special School, farnborough partial closure - 9 Classes closed
- Forest Edge Special school Totton partial closure - 3 classes closed
- Salterns School partially open

Farnborough will close at 5pm due to strike action.
School catering unit closed Crookhorn Secondary School Catering Unit closed. Catering being transported from other units as school not closed.
