The Professional Development Team supports the varied needs of social workers employed by Adult Services and is also responsible for coordinating the provision of placements for student social workers from our local universities.

Professional Development

CPD protected time

All professionally qualified staff in Adult Services are now entitled to take one hour per week to complete their continual professional development requirements. For more details please visit our CPD pages.

Plagiarism

If you are undertaking an academic programme sponsored by HCC please see the attached plagiarism guidelines.

Graduation ceremonies

Approval has been given by DMT for staff undertaking academic qualifications funded by Adult Services to attend graduation ceremonies in work time. Please only take the minimum time required for the ceremony and associated tasks. If you wish to take a full day you may need to supplement with TOIL. Please ensure you discuss your arrangements with your line manager.
