I am currently a Team Manager and have worked in the department since 1995

What are the main responsibilities in your role?

• Leading and motivating team to achieve objectives

• Planning and organising work of the team

• Evaluating effectiveness of the service

• Supporting efficient use of resources

• Delegating,supporting and supervising staff

• Promoting partnership working

What is a typical day for you?

• Dealing with workflow

• Answering queries and making decisions

• Supervising staff

• Attending meetings

What are the biggest challenges you face in your job?

The biggest challenge is keeping my team positive and managing change.
