Graphic Designer, Recreation & Heritage Department

Hi, my name is Neil; I am a Graphic Designer with Recreation and Heritage department.  I do design work for museums, libraries, countryside and Arts, covering brochures, leaflets, exhibitions and gallery displays.  

I have always been interested in museums which prompted me to apply for a job in the museums service.  At the interview my manager found it no problem with my disability, he did not use it as a barrier.  

The staff in the department are deaf aware and I have no problems with communications, with large groups of people I find it difficult but with one or two people it is not a problem.

I have had Access to Work who provide information and they supplied me with equipment to help me with my job.  That would be a fax machine, minicom etc.
