Hampshire CC handing over a £12k grant to the village shop.
The picture shows Cllr Andrew Gibson handing over a cheque for £12k to Jo and David who run the Village shop in Chilbolton. The shop is central to the communities of Chilbolton and Wherwell and the grant is to allow modifications to the shop to make it more functional with the Post Office function and shop cashier counter aligned. the shop sells local produce and is critical to the village environment. There are many elderly residents who depend on the shop for their day to day need especially with the modest availabiltiy of transport.
