The minerals and gravel extraction issue continues unresolved.
Hampshire County Council's position is unchanged insofar as it is still pushing for 1.8 million tonnes per annum compared to the original Government target of 2.3 million and inspectors recommendation of 2 million.
The change in Government prevented any final agreement and current situation is the County is redeveloping the plan for the overall approach to minerals extraction with public examination anticipated early 2012 with submission to government circa April/May 2012.
