Tripping

You could contact a local Home Improvement Agency who assist vulnerable homeowners and private sector tenants. They will visit and give advice about problems with the condition of the home, offer a handy person service for small jobs around the home or offer advice on making the home more energy efficient. You could also try Hampshire County Council Occupational Therapists for advice. (HCC OT's) are responsible for carrying out assessments and providing services that help people remain as independent as possible in their own homes |
Lighting
Inadequate lighting can add to the risk of trips and falls.

Telecare is a combination of wireless alarms and sensors fitted in your home. It is monitored through your phone line 24 hours a day every day. Telecare helps improve confidence and minimises risks. It also provides peace of mind to carers and families. There are many different types of sensors including falls detectors, bed sensors and smoke detectors. |
