How We Did 2010/11

This report shows how Hampshire’s archives and local studies services performed during the period April 2010 to March 2011. We hope it will help you to comment on what we do and in particular to let us know whether you think we are making good use of the resources provided by our Council Tax payers – and by all who place their archives in our care.

  • 4 star rating and 4th place overall in national assessment of local authority archives services
  • 97% customer satisfaction in national archives customersurvey
  • Deposit of Jane Austen family archives
  • Successful completion of 3-yearHLF-funded Living Links Community Archives Project
  • Award of Hampshire Archives Trust grant to sustain community archives programme from 2011/12
  • Screen Heritage UK Revitalising the Regions funding to increase access to film archives
  • Award of National Manuscripts Conservation Trust grant to conserve Winchester Cathedral archives in 2011/12
  • Successful HLF bid for a project to record the heritage of Hampshire Showpeople
  • Successful completion of Treloar 100+ Paralympics Region project
  • London 2012 Inspire Mark and Archive Pace Setter award resulting from Treloar 100+
  • Aiming High for Disabled Children grant
