Meeting customer needs

Our aim is to help our customers meet their business objectives by assisting in the identification and effective management of risk and by providing assurance on the adequacy of internal control systems.

We ensure that the audit service we deliver meets the technical standards demanded for the sector whilst being flexible to meet each customer’s unique and changing management needs. We achieve this by developing a close partnership between management and audit. This ensures that our audit team fully understands the aims of our customers and can provide a practical and responsive service adding value to the organisation. We believe that regular communication between auditors, senior management and auditees is fundamental to an effective audit service.

Our audit experience

Hampshire Audit Services is a progressive practice and we take pride in the quality of our internal audit service. We are continually reviewing and updating our approach to ensure that we are at the forefront of developments. We are able to draw upon our experience from a wide range of public sector organisations to develop the most appropriate audit approach for each customer. The large scale of our practice allows us to do this without burdening customers with an unacceptable overhead cost.

 

Customer care

We are committed to high standards of customer care and quality systems. For example, we have an office cover charter which ensures that a member of audit staff will be available at all times between 8.30 am and 5.00 pm from Monday to Friday and we have agreed standards ensuring prompt acknowledgement and response to correspondence. We are also committed to the use of Plain English.

Customer comments

As part of our commitment to customer care and quality assurance, we actively seek customer feedback and issue an audit appraisal questionnaire to our primary contact and system managers with every final report. We follow up any adverse comments to help us identify ways in which we can improve our service.
