Volunteering

Are you looking for experience of working with a local records centre?

Can you spare 2-3 days a week?

If so, HBIC would be very pleased to hear from you. We need volunteers to help us with a range of office based tasks, including working with GIS and our Recorder database. In return, full training will be provided, including some opportunities for gaining habitat survey experience. A contribution towards expenses in getting to HBIC will also be made. To find out more please click on The Role of Volunteers at HBIC Microsoft Word 127kb.

To register, download and complete the volunteering registration form Microsoft Word 111kb and email to enquiries.hbic@hants.gov.uk, or alternatively call for a chat on 01962 832322. Remember to let us know which days you are available and what level of experience you have in ecology and biological recording.

Field Ecologists

HBIC is inviting field ecologists with at least two years relevant experience (voluntary or paid) of Phase 2 habitat survey to NVC level to be added to a list to be considered for possible future temporary work - either as a County Council casual employee or as a self employed consultant (with appropriate insurance). You should have a current driving licence and car.

If you would like to be added to the list of field ecologists, and to be considered for survey work in coming years, please send your CV, giving experience and daily rate, to enquiries.hbic@hants.gov.uk.
