Hampshire village shops
Register now for the Hampshire rural Shops conference
Braishfield Village Hall on Monday 8 February 2016
Following on from last year’s conference, another networking event has been arranged for those who own and manage small rural shops in Hampshire villages.
It will take place on Monday 8 February at Braishfield Village Hall, which has recently been extended to incorporate the new Braishfield Village Pantry, which currently runs in three small and separate locations.
Thanks to our sponsors, REPOSS and Bluefin, the event is free to attend and will incorporate plenty of opportunities for networking with others, together with sessions led by:
- Rural Shops Alliance
- Post Office Ltd
- Hampshire Fare
You will also hear more about the village shop turning over in excess of £1million per year!
For more information about the day, including the programme and registration, contact Anne Harrison on 01962 846558 or email:
Hampshire County Council is a strong supporter of the county’s rural shops which it considers are an intrinsic part of community life. It has for several years offered grant funding to shops which are the only ones in the village, and / or to create shops in villages where there is no shop.
Grant funding is available to assist village shops in improving their offer, increasing footfall and sustaining a prosperous business into the future.
