Jobs at Calshot Activities Centre
Field Studies Tutor
This is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated field studies professionals to progress. You’ll work with residential and day groups from Key Stage 1 up to A Level in a wide range of topics that includes river and coastal studies, human geography and marine, freshwater and terrestrial ecology. Field Studies Tutors also teach a wide range of land-based activities including indoor climbing, archery, skiing and team tasks. You may also be trained to teach in our fantastic Watersports Department.
You should have broad experience of leading field studies sessions. Ideally, you should currently be working, or have worked, in an outdoor centre and have some relevant teaching experience. It is essential to hold a degree or relevant equivalent qualification in a related field and have held a full driving licence for at least two years. Skills in any land-based activity are advantageous, particularly in skiing, rock climbing, archery or team tasks, although full training will be provided. Alternatively, you may have a range of outdoor activities and teaching experience, but no formal instructional qualifications. Either way we would like to hear from you.
