For instructors and others working in the Outdoors Industry, Calshot is the ideal venue for First Aid training. Our trainers are also coaches at the highest level in a range of outdoor activities. Using that experience they will ensure that your training is relevant and focussed on practical strategies to use in an emergency.
ITC First Aid Courses
Immediate Temporary Care courses have an unrivalled reputation amongst outdoor activity instructors. ITC courses are practical and hands on. The scenario based syllabus ensures plenty of opportunity to put first aid training into direct practice. A large part of each course is spent outside - these are not the usual classroom based first aid courses!
ITC Outdoor First Aid Course
This 2 day course is suitable for all outdoor workers and satisfies the requirements of most governing bodies including MLTB, BCU, RYA, BASI and BOF.
£175 Non Residential includes lunch on both days
£190 Residential includes lunch on both days, evening meal on 1st day and one nights Bed and Breakfast

First aid training at Calshot is provided through ITC. ITC First Aid Ltd is an awarding body that develops qualifications and approves, supports and verifies ITC Providers and Centres delivering tailored first aid training. The outdoor course is particularly relevant to instructors, coaches and others working outdoors to provide emergency training. The emphasis is always on practical skills. The courses are scenario-based, jargon-free with opportunities to practice outdoors. Please note that you during these practice scenarios you will practice on others and be practised on! Please also come with warm outdoor clothing and robust footwear. No previous training is required for this course. This course is designed to teach basic first aid and is recognised by the RYA, MLTB, BCU, BASI, BOF and most other governing bodies.

- Fractures, Dislocations
- Spinal Injury
It is essential that you attend all of the course. Non-attendance for any part may mean that a certificate cannot be issued. Certificate Validity – 3 years
