Energy
Hampshire County Council is developing an energy work programme. This work programme is designed to achieve objectives in terms of:
- Improving energy security
- Reducing the exposure of Hampshire residents to the increasing volatility of fossil fuel prices
- Using renewable energy opportunities as a mechanism for facilitating low-carbon economic development
- Promoting both economic and climate resilience.
Current Energy related work and projects
Hampshire County Council (HCC) is a partner in the Ecotec21 project which is funded by the European Commission’s INTERREG IVA France (Channel) – England funding programme. The project focuses on the use of Combined Heat and Power (CHP) technology in existing buildings.
