Modernising and changing services
In 2012/13, we:
Reached a total of 2,500 staff working in a flexible office environment, meaning that we reduced our office floor space by 10,000 square metres since 2008, resulting in savings year on year.
Held the cost of a school meal at £2 for the fifth year in a row. Almost 39,000 primary school pupils across the county (equivalent to 40.6%) now eat meals from Hampshire County Council Catering Service every lunchtime. The service supplied 7.4 million meals during the year.
Opened the new Public Service Plaza in Havant, which combines services provided by Havant Borough Council, the County Council, the Citizens Advice Bureau, Capita and others, offering a single point of contact for local services.
