School uniform grants

Pupils at Primary school

There is no school uniform grant available for children at primary school level, however, Hampshire has a small discretionary fund which can be used to help with school clothing. For information, call Children's Services. Tel: 0300 555 1384.

Secondary School pupils

Secondary school uniform grants are available during the 2014/2015 school year for children who meet the following criteria:

  • they are entitled to free school meals,

  • are in Year 7, Year 9 or Year 10 (starting September 2014),

  • attends, or will be attending, a Hampshire County Council secondary school excluding academies (academies make their own arrangements for uniform grants. An academy does not need to have 'Academy' in its name, so, if in doubt, please contact the school to check if it has academy status.)

  • or who lives in Hampshire but attends a non-academy secondary school outside of Hampshire's administrative area.

The value of the grant is currently £61.25. Payment is made by cheque and can be paid up to end of the academic year.

Detailed information about applying for the grant is on the form. You can either collect an application form direct from the school office (of a Hampshire school) or download the form below.
