The closing date for Year R and Year 3 junior applications for September 2014 was 15 January 2014. Notifications for all on-time applicants were sent on 16 April 2014.

Waiting lists

Waiting lists for Hampshire schools were created on 30 April.  Further information can be found here: www.hants.gov.uk/ad-waiting-list

If you applied between 16 January and 15 April

All applications have been processed and the outcome of your application has been sent in the first class.

If you applied after 16 April 2014

All applications are being handled within five working days of receipt, although applications naming a school outside of Hampshire are taking longer.  Once the form has been processed, you will be notified of the outcome in a letter, which will be sent in the first class post.   

What do I have to do next?

All letters sent from 1 May have an acceptance slip attached.  Please complete the slip within 10 days.  Additionally for Year R parents, you must provide the required date of birth and address evidence to the allocated school.  

We advise that you hold onto the allocated place even if it isn't at the school you hoped for, until a place at an alternative school has been secured.

Don't forget...

  • your child will automatically be added to the waiting list of any higher preference Hampshire school than the one you have been allocated;

  • you can·appeal for any school for which you have received a refusal.
