Groups and resources

Great learning uses the experience of others and develops it further. We're creating opportunities to find real life examples of good practice, to talk with colleagues, and benefit from resources that have been shared by others for use elsewhere.

    Groups and events

Secondary subject leader meetings

These meetings are an opportunity to discuss the changes in the ICT curriculum and to share expertise and experiences.

See the HIAS website for details, and to book.

Primary ICT Co-ordinators Support Groups

Run by Stella Kenny

A mix of discussions, updates, practical sessions and sometimes a visiting speaker (often a supplier demonstrating a product). Held in local schools. Once a term for two hours. Contact Stella for details or book online.

Primary technicians group

Run by Phil Bagge

A group for primary school technicians who meet to discuss technical issues and new technologies. Once a term for two hours. Contact Phil for details.

PICATS / SICATS - Primary/Secondary Information Communication and Technology Strategy Groups

PICATS and SICATS exist to ensure effective 'management partnership' and consultative arrangements between schools and Hampshire IT, with respect to information management, communications and technology.

SIMS Users Forum

Giving a voice to admin officers and SIMS technicians in highlighting SIMS issues. SIMS subscribers can get more details, including minutes from previous meetings, on the SIMS Hantsnet pages.

    Mailing lists

Join the mailing lists that most interest you, free of charge; it's a quick and simple way for staff to help each other.

These are the available lists; just follow each link for instructions on how to join.

See Hantsweb for more details and a list of other (non-IT) mailing lists.
