The independent Boundary Commission for England (BCE) is responsible for carrying out reviews of council electoral ward boundaries. The reviews aim to make local elections fairer by ensuring that all councillors represent a similar number of people across the borough or district and that the council has the appropriate number of councillors to represent the area effectively.

Rushmoor Borough Council and Hart District Council

The BCE conducted a review of Rushmoor Borough Council's amd Hart District Council's electoral boundaries. The BCE invited comments on the ward boundaries for the authorities.

New ward arrangements for Rushmoor and Hart have now successfully completed a 40 day period of Parliamentary scrutiny and will come into force at the next scheduled district elections on 1 May 2014.

The final recommendations and more information are available on the LGBCE's Rushmoor Electoral Review page, Hart Electoral Review or email reviews@lgbce.org.uk.
