Emergency Plans

The Emergency Planning Unit is responsible for drawing up plans for a variety of emergency scenarios. These plans can be for a generic response or for more specific identified risks such as Avian Influenza. Plans can also include specific places such as industrial sites. In addition to this the Emergency Planning Unit prepares Hampshire County Council's own Corporate Resilience Plan  Download Adobe Reader to view this PDF 444kB. As well as other plans such as the Media Plan in partnership with the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Local Resilience Forum (Local Resilience Forum Media Plan Microsoft Word 406kb).

What to do in the event of an emergency at Atomic Weapons Establishments (AWE) Aldermaston

A leaflet has been produced by AWE plc in partnership with West Berkshire Council. It provides advice about what to do in the unlikely event of a radiation emergency as defined in the REPPIR Regulations 2001.
