Financial Assessments Group (FAB)

There are approximately 45 staff in the Financial Assessments Group, based in seven locations around the county of Hampshire. We are part of the County Treasurer's department and provide a service on behalf of the Director of Adult Services.

Role

Our role is to carry out a financial assessment for service users receiving either:

• Residential and nursing care

• Care Services that support you to live at home

• Direct Payment to arrange their own care

As part of our service, our visiting officers will include a welfare benefits check, providing information about welfare benefit entitlements and assisting service users with any benefit claims they may be entitled to.
