Fareham Borough Council
Arthur Mandry was born in London and after service in the Royal Navy joined Portsmouth City Police in 1963, which was later amalgamated with Hampshire Constabulary. He retired in 1993 having served as Head of the Fraud Squad, Divisional Commander for Eastern Division and Detective Chief Superintendent and Head of Hampshire CID.
He was elected to Fareham Borough Council in 1996 for Hill Head ward and has held that seat continuously since. Until May 2012 he had been Deputy Leader for 13 years with responsibility for the Public Protection Portfolio for the past 8 years.
Currently he is Chairman of the Fareham Community Safety Partnership and the Community Tasking and Co-Ordinating Group. Councillor Mandry also represents the Borough of Fareham on the County Strategy Group for Crime and Disorder.
