Clive Sanders is Leader of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. In addition to his role as Leader he has held the community safety portfolio for Basingstoke for the last 5 years and is also the Chairman of the Borough’s community safety partnership.

Prior to entering local politics Clive was divisional chief executive of an international chemical company and director of a number of companies in the UK and Europe. A marketing and communications specialist by training, he later concentrated on financial business management and mergers and acquisitions. Clive lives with his wife and English Setter on Hampshire’s northwest frontier.
