4. Discussion on the Hampshire Senate
Councillor Roy Perry has written to all members of the Senate. The Chief Executive, Andrew Smith has written to colleagues in the District and Borough Councils.
It is proposed at the meeting to review the responses, discuss options and preferences and to seek to find a position to go forward and build upon.
The Chief Executive of the County Council will between the issuing of this agenda and the meeting prepare a short report summarising the responses to help shape and give background to the discussion.
The County Council hopes that as many people as possible can attend albeit there is only one item on the agenda, which is deliberate to provide focus for the future. In the time available it is likely that the Chief Executive’s report will be circulated electronically, probably on Monday 8 July.
