Freshwater is a market town which is crammed full of a variety of shops ranging from basic groceries to Antiques along its' long High Street. The are many activities that can be had at Freshwater including swimming and an 18 hole golf course. The famous poet Alfred Lord Tennyson once lived her at Farringford House.
Freshwater Bay is a small cove with several beaches from which you can take walks across the unspoiled countryside from the Tennyson monument to the Needles. The views across the English Channel and countryside are truly outstanding.
