Our aim is to make the best use of Hampshire’s cities, towns and suburbs by:

  • Making the best use of land and property;
  • High quality design;
  • Long life solutions and materials; and
  • Appropriateness to the local sense of place

In partnership with the District Council and the local community, the County Council selects suitable schemes for inclusion in the Initiative. These are assessed against agreed criteria which reflect the aims of the Initiative. The 2006 – 2008 programme is currently fully committed.
