Environmental improvements at Glebe Gardens, Basingstoke Marker stone in Glebe Gardens, Basingstoke

The work at Glebe Gardens is one of a number of schemes in the area of this public park carried out through the ROUAI programme with Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. Previous work at St Michael's Church and in the gardens with the opening up of a section of the River Loddon is now being followed by a phased programme of work within the park. The first phase of works includes lighting, paving, improvements to the footbridge in the middle of the park and planting. Decorative marker stones at three of the entrances have been made by sculptor and letter-cutter Alec Peever.
