Conference Room

A light and airy room, ideal for meetings, conferences and calm creativity.

The conference room is located on the 2nd floor and is easily accessible by a lift.

IT Learning Suite

The IT Suite can accommodate up to 11 Learners working at individual work stations with free use of laptop and projector for the trainer.

The Learning Suite is located on the 1st floor and is easily accessible by a lift.

Small Meeting Room

Our small meeting room is suitable for 1 to 1 meetings.  Available on Thursday and Saturday and after 5.30pm, Monday to Friday

The Shore Room

Shore is located on the ground floor and is ideal for different types of creative activities, events and meetings.

The Creek Room

Creek is located on the ground floor and is ideal for different types of activities, such as yoga,  talks, events and meetings. This room has a hearing loop.

The Bay Room

The Harbour Room

Harbour is located on the first floor and is easily accessible by a lift. It is ideal for different types of activities, talks, events and meetings.

Block booking discount of 10% available

Applies when

• Three or more bookings are made within a 4 week period ( must be bookedmore than 1 month in advance)
• Regular bookings are made in advance (ie use once a month over a six or 12 month period)

Cancellation Terms

No refund will be given on cancellation of less than 14 days notice

The Discovery Centre and Local & Naval Studies Centre are non smoking buildings and we ask all users of the conference suite to comply with this policy.

Room hire is normally available from 9am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm on Saturday. Bookings for out of hours may be possible by agreement with the Discovery Centre Manager.

Provisional bookings must be confirmed by the hirer within 14 days.

Charges will be invoiced at the time of booking; payment terms are 14 days.

No refund will be given on cancellation of less than 14 days notice

Please note, we are unable to offer the following:

• Storage space
• Parking facilities
• Taking telephone messages except under exceptional circumstances

Goods cannot be sold on the premises without the express permission of the Discovery Centre Manager.

The hirer is responsible for any loss or damage to the room or equipment therein during the period of the hiring.

Hampshire County Council shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to any property arising out of the hiring nor for any loss, damage or injury which may be incurred by or be done or happen to any persons using the room  during the hiring whatsoever and howsoever caused.
