Transport funding and grants

Funding is a key element of existing and new transport schemes. There are a number of options available for funding transport services and schemes in Hampshire.

• Hampshire County Council - provides financial support for setting up and operation of passenger transport services.
• District Councils - have discretionary powers to support passenger transport schemes. Various funding may be available to support a new or existing project.
• Council of Voluntary Service: Most Council of Voluntary Services offer a 'Search for Funding' service.
• The Big Lottery Fund - the National Lottery’s Big Lottery Fund awards a variety of grants to suit different organisations and projects.
