Temporary Footpath Closure - Holbrook Leisure Centre to Tichborne Way, Gosport

Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Gosport area.

TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE – HOLBROOK LEISURE CENTRE TO TICHBORNE WAY, GOSPORT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order to allow for a footpath closure in order to safely construct a new cycle track, to be undertaken as follows:

FOOTPATH TO BE CLOSED: That part of the urban footpath that runs northward from the existing cycle track at the north-western corner of Holbrook Leisure Centre playing fields to the property boundary of Nos. 7 and 8 The Limes, Gosport.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: via the existing footpath rear of Almondside and The Nook, north on Forest Way, then the existing footpath rear of Savernake Close and vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From 2nd April 2012 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 3 months.) Further notification will be given prior to its closure.

Diversion routes will be signed at the time of closure. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
