The Aldershot Registration Office is situated next to The Old Town Hall on Grosvenor Road and has access to the adjacent Municipal Park.

Parking

One space for wedding car, no public parking is available at the Registration Office. See below for the nearest public car parks.

Birchett Road Car Park

From the Registration Office turn right down Grosvenor Road, take the first road on your left - Birchett Road, the car park is 150 yards on your right.

Victoria Road Car Park

From the Registration Office take a right at the traffic lights, the entrance to the car park is about 50 yards along on your left.

Copenhagen room

Centrally located and sympathetically furnished, the Copenhagen Room creates a welcoming and intimate venue for your ceremony. The artwork depicts scenes of ‘old Aldershot’ including some images from the time when Aldershot was nothing more than a tented town as the Army established its presence there.

The room accommodates 38 people including the couple, two registrars and two witnesses.

There is a beautiful small landscaped garden adjacent to the building providing an ideal backdrop for the photographs of your special day.

Confetti

There are probably other couples using the facilities on the same day, so to keep the ceremony room looking tidy, please ensure that your guests wait until they are outside before they throw confetti. If possible please use bio degradable confetti.

Party poppers and spray string should not be used. Please check with registration staff as some local restrictions apply.

Photographers and Video

Videos can be taken at any point before, during and after the ceremony provided that it does not interrupt the proceedings.

Please inform the registration staff so that the cameraman can be directed to a suitable position. Your guests are welcome to take photographs before and after the ceremony, but the ”official” photographer should speak to registration staff to agree mutually acceptable points at which photographs can be taken during the ceremony.

There is an attractive municipal (ornamental) garden located in Grosvenor Road just a short walk from the Registration Office.
