Business Driver Training

Hampshire County Council offers a range of practical and office based driver training courses and assessments to meet the needs of your business whether you are looking to meet your health and safety requirements or increase your fuel efficiency by better driving. Office based:

Are you 100% sure what the speed limits are for your vehicles?

This leaflet provides straight forward information about the different speed limits for different vehicles, copies can be supplied upon request.

Driver profiling assessment

Find out and which members of your staff would benefit most from training by using our driver profiling assessment.

£10 per person (refunded if that person then books onto one of our training courses).

Business driver theory workshop

We can come to your office and hold a half day workshop. It is delivered via a powerpoint presentation which encourages interaction with the audience through exercises, questions and discussion covering:

  • road casualty data
  • advice on how to lower risk
  • analysis of the main risk factors for business drivers which include, distractions, fatigue, stress and speed
  • Suitable for approx 15 drivers

£200 per workshop (add £10 per driver if you wish to include driver profiling).

Vehicle based

(provided by Driving Standards Agency registered fleet driver trainers):

Driver Assessment

An assessment  that is conducted in your work vehicle from your premises to risk assess the driver which will include the following:

  • Driver vision screening
  • Licence checks
  • A comprehensive written report for both the client and driver

£240 - Available as a full day of assessments (maximum of six drivers).

Driver Training

Practical driver training conducted in a Hampshire County Council vehicle from the clients premises which will include the following:

  • Driver vision screening
  • Licence checks
  • Theory covering driver stress, fatigue, mobile phones, drink/drugs, vehicle checks
  • Practical on-road training, including a demonstration drive (with commentary) by the instructor
  • A short highway code and theory test
  • An individual and confidential debriefing for the driver
  • A comprehensive written report for both the client and driver

£240 - Available as a full day (maximum of three drivers).
