Service features

The following are included as part of the service:

• CEIAG (careers education, information, advice and guidance) is comprehensive and relevant, working with businesses, training providers and higher education establishments

• advisers regularly meet with employers and have expert knowledge of local and national labour markets

• access to an exclusive online resource with careers and qualification software, a CV creator and local vacancy bulletins

• a licence to support schools/colleges in gaining Investor in Careers - the quality standard for CEIAG

• schools/colleges are involved in the selection, development and continued appraisal of their careers adviser

• CEIAG training is available for school/college staff during INSET days

• an annual careers conference and network meetings for schools/colleges with training providers and other organisations to discuss CEIAG developments and share best practice

• we are working towards the matrix standard – a quality standard to access and measure careers services

• advisers are supported in their continued professional development and are trained in, or working towards, Level 6 CEIAG qualifications and other courses relevant to their role

• CEIAG is embedded within and complements the curriculum, working with Hampshire Information and Advisory Service (HIAS) inspectors.
