Stubbington Study Centre

Official opening of our new accomodation

On Thursday 22 January 2015 Stubbington Study Centre held the official opening of it's brand new accomodation block, coinciding with the 80th anniversary of our original dorms being constructed! We were lucky enough to have HM Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire, Nigel Atkinson Esq as guest of honour, along with Cllrs Edgar and Davidovitz and many other supporters of our Centre.

Following speeches, a plaque was unveiled and the doors to the building were opened by children from Crescent, Norwood and Mansbridge Schools who emerged singing their House songs! Trees, representing each of the new dormitory blocks were planted and the children then took our guests on a tour of the new buildings. A great day was had by all. To mark the occasion and to celebrate 80 years of learning coming to life at Stubbington Study Centre, we also created a short video showing recollections from Stubbington visitors over the last 80 years! Some fantastic memories were captured.
