During their day, groups can use the Centre’s facilities, have shelter from the elements in a marquee or the classroom, and book a BBQ for lunch.

A range of different activities can be incorporated into a day at Tile Barn.

If you would like to enquire about an activity day contact us including the following details in your email:

  • Proposed date of visit
  • Timings for your day
  • Groups aims and objectives
  • Age range of group
  • Number of participants
  • Any particular activities you would like to take part in

When we receive your email we will check availability and put a suggested programme together for you. If you are happy with the programme we can then complete your booking.


All activities offered at Tile Barn are available for groups to book as one-off sessions. These activity sessions take place at set times during the day, depending upon the activity you choose

  • Session 1, 9.30am – 10.55am
  • Break, 10.55am – 11.05am
  • Session 2, 11.05am – 12.30pm
  • Lunch 1, 2.30pm – 1.30pm
  • Session 3, 1.30pm – 2.55pm
  • Break, 2.55pm – 15.05pm
  • Session 4, 3.05pm – 4.30pm

Please note Mountain Biking and Kayaking span either the 2 morning sessions, or 2 afternoon sessions.

Our Bunkhouse multi-activity space can be hired for meetings or as a base to run a course.

We can also provide marquees as a meeting venue, if you would prefer a more outdoor setting.  Please note that there is no electricity to marquees for running of equipment.

If you would like to break up your groups day by including activities please do let us know and we will be pleased to discuss the best options for your group. Our activity information pages provide more about the options available.

Catering and refreshments can also be arranged for your meeting or course.


Tile Barn offers large areas of field space which are ideal for groups wishing to have access to a safe and secure outdoor environment for their group.

We welcome DofE groups wishing to practice putting up their tents, Scouts needing space to complete a task in order to get a badge, Community groups wanting to hold an outdoor activity for their group e.g. a rounder’s game or camp fire.

Site use is subject to site availability, purpose of use and a site use fee.
