Open Art Exhibition
23 March – 13 April 2013
The exhibition is open to all amateur* artists living, working or studying within the Borough of Basingstoke and Deane. Entries selected for the exhibition will be hung in the Exhibitions Gallery at Willis Museum.
A Maximum of three works can be submitted at £3 per artwork.
The fee covers admin costs and the prize.
We would like to see a wide range of art, including paintings, textiles, photographs and crafts – our only condition is that it can be hung on a wall on open display ( see below for rules on presentation and hanging).
*Amateur for the purposes of this exhibition means artists who are not wholly earning their living from their art.
Visitors will vote for their favourite work in the exhibition and a prize will be awarded to the winner.
The popularity of this exhibition means that not all works submitted can be shown. All entries will be judged by an independent panel. Entry Money will not be returned for unsuccessful entries.
The judges decision is final and the Museum cannot enter into discussion about individual entries or artists.
